Watrec biorefinery processes organic waste material to raw materials for natural fertilizer production in a biological anaerobic process that remarkably reduces: greenhouse gas emissions, odour problems, and nutrient leaching.

Organic materials from municipalities, agriculture, industry, and food production are all sources of renewable energy.
- Efficient - High net efficiency of end products
Only 10-15 % of the produced energy is consumed in the digestion process. High utilization rate along with low percentage of breakdowns.
Watrec’s first biogas reference plant was built in 2005, being the first large-scale co-digestion biogas plant in Finland.
