Watrec launches 4th turn-key biogas project.
Watrec Ltd. was established in 2003 and its core competence became biogas technology.
In 2007 Watrec had its first turn-key project based on anaerobic digestion process Vambio in Vampula. Vambio plant has become the most reliable reference for Watrec.
Today, when Watrec is boosting new projects, important to understand what made this boost to happen? In our first article we would like to focus on success roots.
In 2012 Taaleritehdas Fund has become a main shareholder in Watrec. And a new turn of company’s development has started. Why Talleritehdas decided to invest? Why they chose Watrec?
According to Tero Luoma, Chairman of the Board, “VamBio’s plant was the best one… This plant was the best by design, by figures and by all relevant measures. Too many companies presented just powerpoints, not real cases. That’s a big difference from investors’ point of view”.
Furthermore, it’s important that Watrec handles the whole process, meaning permission processes, plant design, turnkey solution and OEM services. It’s one point of contact for an investor.”
Those days, in 2012, Watrec already had well-structured understanding on how to design, construct and maintain the plant in the way that the customer is satisfied, moreover, how the processes should be organized in order to make projects feasible.
“Finally, one reason for our investment is of course return on investment. We believe that from the Fund’s point of view, this is a good investment.” – Tero Luoma, Chairman of the Board.
In summer 2013 Watrec has started 2 new turn-key projects. It was a great step since Vambio was constructed. This autumn Watrec expects to launch another project.
